The Fed just dropped two dates every bank trader needs to lock in.
Two items off the wire. First — the Federal Reserve has issued enforcement actions against a former Atlantic Union Bank employee and a former Frost Bank employee. No dollar figures disclosed. Personnel actions, not institutional penalties. Watch both tickers for residual noise.
Second — and this one matters more. The Fed has confirmed annual bank stress test results drop Wednesday, June 24th, 4 p.m. Eastern. Hard date. Stress test results reprice capital return expectations fast — buybacks, dividends, capital ratios, all of it moves in the hours after release. Major bank names will be in play that afternoon. If you're sizing into any of them, that window is the variable.
Two Fed actions. One enforcement. One calendar event. June 24th, 4 p.m. Eastern. That's your pin.
Numbers don't lie. People do. Trade accordingly.
