The Fed just set a hard date for stress test results — and that clock starts now.
Two items straight from the Fed wire.
First: stress test results drop Wednesday, June 24th, four p.m. Eastern. That's the annual checkup on whether the big banks can survive a real crisis. Results drive capital return decisions — buybacks, dividends, the whole stack. Mark it.
Second: enforcement actions issued against former employees of Atlantic Union Bank and Frost Bank. Former employees — not active institutions. No entity-level fines named in the release. Still, enforcement headlines stick to tickers. AUB and CFR are in the blast radius. Watch for vol.
The June 24th date is what matters most. Banks have been sitting on capital plans waiting for this window. That four p.m. release is a live catalyst. Any position touching financials needs to be sized before that afternoon hits.
Two Fed moves. One hard date. One enforcement flag.
Numbers don't lie. People do. Trade accordingly.
