The Fed just put two dates on your calendar.
Two moves out of the Federal Reserve today.
First — enforcement actions against a former employee of Atlantic Union Bank and a former employee of Frost Bank. Individual-level, not institutional. But the Fed doesn't do quiet.
Second — and this one is the signal. Annual bank stress test results drop Wednesday, June 24th, 4 p.m. Eastern. Hard date. Every major bank holding company gets graded that afternoon. Capital return plans, buybacks, dividends — all of it hangs on what comes out of that release.
Mark it. June 24th. 4 p.m. Eastern. Post-market. Watch financials build pressure heading into that day, then expect sharp moves after the bell.
The enforcement actions are noise. The stress test date is what you trade around.
Numbers don't lie. People do. Trade accordingly.
