Tech got hit from multiple directions today. Energy didn't care.

Oracle down 3.07% to 140.35. Biggest loser on the board. Netflix dropped 3.01% to 77.90, right behind it. Those two set the tone. Amazon off 2.02% to 248.42. UNH down 1.99% to 375.93. Costco slipped 1.91% to 901.35. Microsoft shed 1.64% to 497.12. Six names in the red — tech and mega-cap growth, mostly.

Then there's the other side. XOM up 2.57% to 169.32. Energy running while everything else fades. AMD up 2.19% to 504.20. Chips holding when the rest of software crumbles.

Futures confirmed the pressure. SPY off 0.46%. QQQ down 0.65%. Small caps got clipped hardest — IWM down 0.96%. DIA dropped 0.62%. Broad-based selling, but growth took the worst of it. VIX sitting at 17.2. Not panic, but it's not comfortable either.

Asian overnight data unavailable. Economic calendar is clean — nothing scheduled.

Earnings today: ESP with an EPS estimate of 0.97. Also on the board — GFLT, GWOX, HUHU, INTE, and ITOX. No estimates on those five.

The read is simple. QQQ underperforming SPY means the selling had a target. Mega-cap tech, streaming, healthcare, retail — all dragged. Energy and semiconductors bucked it. That split is worth watching heading into tomorrow.

Numbers don't lie. People do. Trade accordingly.
