The desk is leaning with conviction today, not chasing noise.
Two names have our attention on the longer side right now. One sits in large-cap technology — the setup shaped up cleanly and the desk has solid conviction behind it. We're not guessing on that one, we're positioned. The other is in healthcare, and that one is already working in our favor, which is the best kind of confirmation. Solid conviction, not a flier.
Those are the directional reads. Now the other piece — intraday, the gap-fill book is active. We're playing both sides of the open, meaning the opening session is not a one-direction conversation for us. Gaps have a tendency to resolve, and we're set up to work that dynamic in either direction depending on how price behaves in those first few minutes. Shorter duration, faster resolution — a different posture than the longer holds.
So the desk today is carrying directional conviction in two names while staying nimble around the open. Anchored longs, active gap book. That's how we're structured heading into the session.
That is the desk read. Position accordingly, or do not. Your call.
