Two Fed alerts just dropped — and one of them is the one you circle on your calendar every June.

First: enforcement actions against former employees of Atlantic Union Bank and Frost Bank. Individual-level, not institutional — but that distinction only goes so far. When the Fed comes for former employees, it means the conduct review inside those banks already happened. The question is whether it stopped there. Watch for follow-on institutional actions. It usually doesn't stop there.

Second — and this is the one financials traders actually care about — stress test results drop Wednesday, June 24th, four p.m. Eastern. That is tomorrow. Every major bank holding company is in scope. These results set the ceiling on capital returns for the back half of 2026 — buybacks, dividends, how much cash management gets to play with versus how much stays trapped on the balance sheet. JPM, BAC, WFC, Goldman, Morgan Stanley — all of them sitting on their hands until that number hits. Positioning is already moving.

After-close release means Thursday open is where it prices in. If a name comes out with more capital flexibility than the Street modeled, you'll know by how it opens. If a name gets constrained — management's going to have a very uncomfortable earnings call explaining why the buyback just got smaller.

The numbers are the numbers. Management can spin the press release. That's literally what slide decks are for. We read the actual results.
