The Fed just set a hard date — stress test results drop June 24th, 4 p.m. Eastern. Every major bank's capital position goes public in ten days.
Here's what moves.
June 24 is a live catalyst. These results set dividend capacity, buyback authorization, and capital return windows for the biggest names in banking. Options desks are already pricing around it. Vol compression into that date is the setup — what happens the second results hit the wire is the trade.
Separately, the Fed issued enforcement actions against former employees of Atlantic Union Bank and Frost Bank. Individual-level, not institutional. No fines disclosed against either bank entity. But enforcement against former employees means the Fed is still running the tape on prior-cycle conduct. That's a signal, not a footnote.
Two things on the board: June 24 is circled. And the regulatory posture hasn't softened. Watch the regionals, watch the big caps, and watch how fast positioning shifts when those numbers land.
Numbers don't lie. People do. Trade accordingly.
