The Fed just put two dates on your calendar that every bank trader needs to know.
Two items off the wire. First — the Federal Reserve issued enforcement actions against a former Atlantic Union Bank employee and a former Frost Bank employee. No dollar figures released. Personnel actions, not institutional penalties. Watch both tickers for any secondary reaction.
Second — and this is the one that moves markets — the Fed has confirmed annual bank stress test results drop Wednesday, June 24th, 4 p.m. Eastern. That's your hard date. Every major bank holding company is in scope. Stress test results historically trigger same-day after-hours moves in the big names. JPM, BAC, WFC, GS, MS, C — circle that date now. Results come out at the close. Volatility follows.
Two weeks out. Position accordingly — or don't. That's your call, not mine.
Numbers don't lie. People do. Trade accordingly.
