The Fed just set a hard date for stress test results — and every bank stock trader needs to mark June 24th right now.
Two items off the wire. First: the Federal Reserve drops annual bank stress test results Wednesday, June 24th, 4 p.m. Eastern. That's your volatility window for the majors. Circle it. Second: the Fed issued enforcement actions against a former Atlantic Union Bank employee and a former Frost Bank employee. Individual-level actions — not institutional. No fines disclosed. No consent orders against the banks themselves.
Atlantic Union trades on Nasdaq. Frost Bank is under Cullen/Frost Bankers, NYSE ticker CFR. Neither bank is named in the enforcement. That distinction matters.
The stress test date is the bigger read here. Results drop after close. Expect positioning to start building before then across bank ETFs and individual names.
Watch CFR. Watch the KBE and KRE ETFs heading into the 24th. The Fed gave you the timestamp. Use it.
Numbers don't lie. People do. Trade accordingly.
