The Fed just put two dates on the calendar that every bank trader needs to know — mark them now.
Two items straight from the Federal Reserve wire.
First — enforcement actions issued against a former Atlantic Union Bank employee and a former Frost Bank employee. Individual-level actions. Not institutional penalties. But the Fed is flagging conduct, and that matters for both names.
Atlantic Union Bankshares — ticker AUB. Frost's parent, Cullen/Frost Bankers — ticker CFR. Both now carrying Fed enforcement headlines.
Second — and this one hits the whole sector. The Fed has officially confirmed annual bank stress test results drop Wednesday, June 24th, 4 p.m. Eastern. That's your hard date. Every major bank name moves on that release. JPM, BAC, WFC, GS, MS — all of them. Stress test results dictate capital return capacity — buybacks, dividends. Watch the after-hours window on the 24th.
Two data points. One individual conduct story. One sector-wide catalyst with a locked timestamp.
You know what to do with that.
Numbers don't lie. People do. Trade accordingly.
