The Fed just put two dates on the calendar that every bank trader needs to know right now.
Two moves out of the Federal Reserve today. First — enforcement actions issued against a former Atlantic Union Bank employee and a former Frost Bank employee. Individual-level actions, not institutional. But the Fed doesn't do paperwork quietly.
Second — and this is the one that moves markets — the Fed has confirmed annual bank stress test results drop Wednesday, June 24th, 4 p.m. Eastern. That's your hard date. Every major bank holding company is in that release. Capital return decisions, buyback capacity, dividend headroom — all of it hinges on what comes out of that report.
Mark June 24th. Watch the close. Watch after-hours. Regional banks, money centers, anyone sitting on a stress test result they haven't telegraphed — that afternoon gets volatile fast.
Atlantic Union ticker: AUB. Cullen/Frost ticker: CFR. Both names now attached to Fed enforcement activity. File that.
Numbers don't lie. People do. Trade accordingly.
