Tech ran. Semis split. And the divergence inside that trade is exactly what you need to understand before tomorrow's open.
Nvidia up 3.21% to 224.41. AI demand has legs and today proved it again. AMD down 0.55% to 457.06 — same sector, opposite direction. That split inside semis is a read. Broadcom down 0.66% to 367.24, diverging from Nvidia on a strong AI day — watch that gap. Oracle up 3.13% to 145.75, cloud momentum carrying it. Meta up 2.47% to 592.85, ad-tech holding firm. Alphabet up 0.63% to 337.12 — quieter than Meta but still green, same trade. Netflix up 2.38% to 82.73, streaming bid intact. Microsoft down 0.84% to 496.82 — mega-cap, meaningful index weight, red while the Nasdaq ran. That's worth noting. Intel up 1.21% to 90.05, modest but positive. Bank of America up 0.98% to 62.60, financials steady. UnitedHealth up 0.85% to 399.66, healthcare quiet and fine. Costco down 1.22% to 928.48, the lone retail drag.
CRM data shows a near-zero change — feed integrity questionable on that one. Flagging it, not running it.
ETFs: SPY plus 0.44. QQQ plus 0.23. IWM plus 1.18 — small caps outran the Nasdaq. DIA plus 0.54. Broad green, with small caps leading. That's not nothing.
Futures: SPY and QQQ futures lean positive going in. VIX at 15.2 — low, calm, no fear in the room. Gold data unavailable. Moving on.
Asian markets — no data tonight. Going in blind on overnight flows.
Nothing on the economic calendar. No catalysts, no surprises scheduled.
Earnings before the open: KNOP with an EPS estimate of 15.5 cents. Also reporting: ARDC, BDJ, BYSI, HURC, and PAXS. Small names, watch for any macro read-through.
Numbers don't lie. People do. Trade accordingly.
