Chips are bleeding and futures are soft, but the platform names are holding green — that's the story this Saturday morning.
NVDA down four-point-five-eight percent, sitting at two-seventeen. That's the headline. AMD down two-point-three-three at four-sixty-five. Strip out NVDA, AMD, and Intel and the chip sector looks fine — but you can't strip them out. INTC down two-point-eight-five at eighty-nine forty-seven. Three chip names. All red. All Friday.
Now the other side. AMZN up three-point-nine-seven, closing at two-sixty-six. That's the biggest green print on the board and it's not close. NFLX up two-point-three-five at eighty-one seventy-two — quiet but consistent. BAC up one-point-eight-eight at sixty-two thirty-two, financials staying composed while tech sorts itself out. GOOGL up one-point-seven-four at three-forty-six fifty-nine.
Then there's the platform block that doesn't get ignored. MSFT up one-point-six-eight at five-thirteen. AAPL up one-point-six-three. META up one-point-two-one at five-seventy-eight. CRM up one-point-five-seven. Four large-cap names printing green on a tape where QQQ finished down zero-point-six-five. That's not noise.
TSLA down one-point-seven-one at three-forty-eight seventy-five. No catalyst needed — this one moves.
Futures lean cautious. SPY off zero-point-two-three. QQQ off zero-point-six-five. IWM taking the hardest hit at down one-point-three-five — small caps are the tell when risk appetite tightens. DIA barely moved, down zero-point-zero-three.
No earnings. No economic data. Nothing scheduled to change the setup.
The split is clean: semiconductors sold, mega-cap platforms held. VIX data unavailable this morning but you don't need the number — the IWM spread tells you the mood.
Numbers don't lie. People do. Trade accordingly.
