Tech just ran the table and left everything else on the floor.
CRM up 3.2% to 192.74 — led the session, no debate. TSLA up 2.83% to 328.58 — momentum, clean and simple. ORCL up 2.47% to 147.02 — cloud spend alive. NVDA up 2.27% to 223.96 — AI bid still breathing. INTC up 1.84% to 101.65 — surprise strength. Broadcom up 1.71% to 427.76 — chips broad. AMD down 1.21% to 483.36 — only red in the sector, note that. XOM down 1.16% to 153.04 — energy soft.
Tech carried. Energy and the lone chip laggard didn't follow.
Futures: SPY up 0.61%, QQQ up 1.17%. Growth over value, full stop. VIX sitting at 14.9 — nobody's scared. Gold up 0.9%, which is a quiet hedge bid, not a panic bid.
ETFs confirm the story. QQQ up 1.17%, IWM up 1.11% — small caps held pace with tech, that's constructive. DIA up just 0.27% — Dow lagged, old economy trailing.
No economic data on the calendar today. Nothing to trade around, nothing to brace for.
Asian markets data unavailable overnight. Going in without that read.
Earnings tonight and tomorrow morning are thin names. Post-close: ABSI with a consensus EPS estimate of negative 20 cents. Pre-market tomorrow: ACCS with a consensus of 7 cents. ABCP, ABIT, ABVC, ADAP also reporting — no street consensus worth anchoring to on those. None of these are market movers. File and move on.
Bottom line: Tech won Monday. QQQ was the place to be. VIX is low, futures are green, and there's no macro event to derail Tuesday's open. AMD is the one name worth watching — only red chip in a green chip session is information.
Numbers don't lie. People do. Trade accordingly.
