Tech is getting hit across the board and the futures aren't doing you any favors this morning.
SPY down 1.25%. QQQ down 1.01%. IWM down 0.75%. DIA down 0.99%. Everything red. VIX sitting at 17.47 — not panic territory, but it's creeping. Gold down 2.18%, which is the wildcard today. Risk-off selling usually lifts gold. It didn't. Watch that.
Asian markets data unavailable. Nothing scheduled on the economic calendar. Clean tape, messy price action.
Now the stocks.
META down 5.44% to 567.58. That's the headline. Biggest mover on the board and it's dragging sentiment with it.
CRM down 4.14% to 155.02. Software getting sold hard.
Microsoft down 3.79% to 378.91. Not immune.
Amazon down 3.46% to 237.50. Consumer and cloud both under pressure.
ORCL down 2.55% to 183.53. Quietly ugly.
GOOGL down 2.53% to 363.79. No floor found yet.
WMT down 2.40% to 118.13. Retail not hiding from this either.
NFLX down 2.24% to 76.96. Streaming joins the selloff.
COST down 2.14% to 965.59. Even the defensive consumer names are getting clipped.
TSLA down 2.05% to 396.38. No bounce, no bid.
Six, seven, eight names — doesn't matter how you count them. The sector is getting repriced fast and the selling is broad.
Now the green.
Broadcom up 4.30% to 392.90. Bucking the entire narrative. Chips catching a bid while everything else fades.
INTC up 3.46% to 121.10. Intel moving with Broadcom. Semi strength is isolated but real.
Two chip names going the opposite direction from the rest of tech. That divergence is worth tracking at the open.
Earnings after the close today: ADN, AUSI, BANX, BTOG, KOAN, SKKY. Small names. Not moving the tape.
Bottom line — big tech is under distribution, semis are the outlier, and gold's weakness on a risk-off day is the macro question nobody's answering yet.
Numbers don't lie. People do. Trade accordingly.
