The desk is leaning long today — conviction in two places, and a tactical fade running on the open.
On the core book, two names carrying real weight right now. One is a large-cap technology position — solid conviction, and it is behaving exactly the way we want it to. The setup developed cleanly, the tape is confirming the thesis, and we are letting it work. We sized into the structure. We are not chasing it now.
The second is a healthcare name. Same posture — solid conviction, positioned, monitoring rather than managing aggressively. Both of these are structural leans. Not day trades. The desk is not in and out of these — we are sitting in them.
Tactically, intraday we are running a gap-fill book on the morning session. When the open gaps higher without a catalyst that earns it, we fade it. That has been the read this week. The first thirty minutes are telling us who is overextended, and we are leaning into that information.
Overall posture today: long on structure, short on noise at the open. Two core positions doing the heavy lifting, one tactical overlay keeping the desk active in the early session.
That is the desk read. Position accordingly — or do not. Your call.
