The desk is carrying conviction into today's session on two names, and we're keeping the intraday book active on the open.
On the directional side, two longs running with solid conviction. One is in large-cap technology — the setup shaped up cleanly and the desk leaned in. The other is in healthcare, and that one is already working, which is the best kind of confirmation early in a position. Both sitting in favorable posture right now. We're not looking to complicate them.
Where it gets more tactical is the intraday game. The gap-fill book has been active on the opening session. When the market stretches higher at the open — gaps up, gets a little euphoric out of the gate — the desk is fading that move. Not chasing the gap. Waiting for it to come back in. That's been the discipline when the open wants to pull you into a bad entry.
So the overall posture today: two longs we believe in, and a fading bias on morning strength. Clean, measured, manageable.
That is the desk read. Position accordingly, or do not. Your call.
