The desk is running a split book today, and conviction is high on both sides of it.
Technology is where most of the tension lives right now. We are leaning long on one large-cap name in that space — the setup is clean, the structure supports it, and we have solid conviction. On the other side of that same sector, we are leaning short on a different large-cap tech name with equal conviction, and that one is already moving in our direction. Two names, same sector, opposite postures. That is not confusion — that is differentiation. The desk is doing its job.
Financials — one large-cap short on the book. Solid conviction, no hesitation.
Healthcare is where it gets interesting. We are running a split there too — long one name, short another, both with strong conviction, and both working. That kind of pairs divergence inside a single sector is exactly what systematic strategies are built to find. When the sector is noisy but the individual setups are clean, that is signal worth respecting.
Overall posture: active, two-sided, and leaning into what is working.
That is the desk read. Position accordingly, or do not. Your call.
