The desk is leaning with conviction today, and the book reflects it.
Technology is giving us both sides right now. We have a large-cap name we like long — the setup is clean, the posture is there, and we're holding it with solid conviction. On the other side, we have another large-cap tech name we're leaning short on, and that one is working. Two names, same sector, opposite directions. That's the kind of divergence the desk looks for when a sector starts fragmenting.
Financials — we have one large-cap name we're leaning short on. Solid conviction there. The shape of it is right, and we're comfortable in the position.
Healthcare is the most active part of the book right now. We have a long that is working, and we have a short that is also working. Both with conviction. When a sector hands you setups on both sides and both are resolving in your favor, you stay disciplined and let them run. Healthcare is doing exactly that today.
Overall, the desk is carrying more conviction than usual across the board. That's not something we force — it's something we read into.
That is the desk read. Position accordingly, or do not. Your call.
